converting to 134a properly - cleaning out all the old style oil and all that - is going to be pricey, but the best option. The parts you need are only ~$20, but there is quite a bit of labor involved

as far as the radio code, last time mine was locked out it cost me $20 at the dealer to have them reset it for me. Initially they wanted to charge something retarded because they didn't really understand what was wrong (all kinds of diagnosis time, etc, etc...) so stick to your guns, they shouldn't charge any more than a half hour labor (and it'll take 5 mins tops) and I have heard of some people getting it done for free...
