It's not that simple. Toyota Racing Development, as a company, is still alive in Japan. TRD USA is also still alive. However, many of the parts that TRD Japan once offered for MR2s have been discontinued. Also, some of the TRD Japan parts that TRD USA once stocked in US warehouses for US dealers have been discotninued by TRD USA; they are no longer being stocked in US warehouses. In some cases we can still order them individually, but since that involves a four month wait, many customers are not as interested as they once were.
One note, though: many dealers will
assume that there's nothing available from TRD for a car this old, and in almost every case, they're correct. We (the MR2 community) still have a few things available, and are more willing to jump through hoops and wait a long time to find out what is available and to get the things we want.
By the way, I noticed by your signature that you are looking for a few parts that you'll be better off buying new. Door handle bezels and shift boots are not expensive, and used examples are typically not worth bothering with. I can also get the stainless sill plate trim shown in your signature pic.
