Malfunctioning thermostat inside the housing on top of the tranny. Never go aftermarket with thermostats. Yota oem is the only way to go.
Check to see if the previous owner removed the oil cooler. Its a 3" black tube about 18" long that is on the firewall mounted almost in front of the exhaust manifold.
Look for oil in your antifreeze, and vice versa.
Smell the exhaust . . . sweet smelling?
check oil level . . .
check for paper, animal nests blocking the radiator.
