i should do a blog on sorting my v6 which was once a daily driver and currently a daily driver /track/autox car.

thought i had an oil leak coming from the rear bank and let it go for a while without inspecting where it was coming from. finally had an autox last saturday to prep for. while changing a wheel stud i got under the car to inspect for leaks noticing the passenger side cv boot ripped , this was spilling thick grease everywhere! including the exhaust. smelled like burning oil. the gas pedal was like my trigger for dumping oil. when i gassed it the grease would shoot out of the cv and i would smell it

my last track session was a month ago and i heard a grinding noise about 3 or 4 times during one particular high G left hander . i only head this the few times i didnt lift. this was also the day my leak started. after seeing the boot ripped and reading forums i realized that my suspension is too low and during the turn my axle was being stretched because the suspension arm was compressed too much past parallel .. bye bye h&R rear springs .. im going to put some stiffer and taller rsr race rear springs in and the axle/roll center issue should go away. im also buying a new axle off ebay or napa for the s54 and going to slap that in

another issue i solved was my second gear was popping out during quick transitions which was super annoying - the prior owner suggested taking a washer out of the shift linkage at the gear box. worked like a charm though the lever does not feel quite as tight/sharp -

looking for more front grip and i know how to get it just wish i could afford it - custom perched koni da's , rca's , stiff springs with small or no front bar , fresh tires, bushings.

im also going to do a power to manual rack conversion because i miss the feel of my old manual rack sooo much

in the mean time im going to run some rear toe out

anyone have sticky rear pads for a 91 n/a chassis?
