If it poped tommorow I would not concider it a waste. I have already put over 1k miles on it and she still lives. I did this for the experiance, not to just throw in another engine. I found it more of a challenge to make the boosted 5s than to just swap.
I have lost all track of time spent on this(it is alot and I like to tinker)
out of pocket is around $1600. I have some nice upgrades to the basic setup to.
