Yup, stock mk3's are kind of girly, my girlfriends have said. If you want to change the attitude of the car put in it a good set of rims, get a lower suspension and possibly change body kit. I've seen a lot of badass mk3's.

Go for it!
I think the stock mk3 is pretty fugly, but some of the body kits make it look amazing., even the simple ones... the one thing I have greatly against the mk3 was it seems to lack trunk space. My mk2 has all the trunk space I need for groceries, shopping, weekend trips with autox gear, luggage, and golf clubs etc. I realize the car is a sports car, but I would like enough room to at least take it on a trip and get groceries.... but maybe I am wrong? I have never seen good pictures.

Also I have no spare up front, and that always makes a good extra space.
