Yea, so pics are too easy so what should we do????

I know ........................... we'll piss about and instead of bringing the pic up we'll intercept it with another screen! Because surely nobody expects in this day in age not to click on a screen and see what they want -they have to see something else first!

........yea you're a genious -it was too easy before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now folk will try clicking, sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't -it's all about the web powers we have changing something just because.

mmmmmmwwwwwhaaaaaaaawwwwwwww.

...what happened to click on a pic and it opened
I'm a webgeek, not the one you describe tho, i like to get hammered on good scotch, mess around with guns, chase girls while being "engaged", drive too fast in my car or on my bike(s), do a line a blow, run like mad & repeat it again tomorrow.....oh yeah and play as much as I can with my tools....& dream of having a full SnapOn kit some day.
I hated the pop-up overlay that a lot of sites use now, including this one, I understand it fully tho.
You have to remember that mom & dad and joe-schmoe internet user doesn't get what's going on half the time, so should a picture pop open in a new window, or in the same one god forbid, plenty of times the argument: "WTF just happened to the website I was looking at" or "WTF, what just happened?! A picture opened when I clicked here", it happens often and especially now a days with the newer browsers that are plainly unfamiliar as of yet. Many don't understand the concept of the "Back" button on the browser software. Far worse is the (seriously crappy) implementation of many an antivirus/antispyware/antiwhathaveyou software that prevents popups, open-/top-window control, and the same browser preventing new windows from opening.....then there is the Tabs feature from pretty much every browser these days that will confuse the nickers off of any idiot.....
I can't tell you how many times I get calls with "my website doesn't work" when all that has happened is a picture popped up and its displaying somewhere, & the f*ck-tard on the other end of the line has not a least bit of a clue whats being displayed on the desktop. I'd be worldly rich if I charged 1 cent for each of those......

Having a picture open up and fading the background of the original site seems to be working quite well for the general public.....it's grown on me. I don't like the amount of AJAX software config you have to do for it, but it seems to be working.....
