The gen 2 manifold is a massive cast alumium piece, which bolts to the top of the head... it heatsoaks like crazy!
Peaople go on about cold air intakes, but what good is this, if your manifold is 80 degrees celcius! lol!
Beams motor has rubber isolater from the block at the base, and the mounting tabs at the top are rubber insulated too. So stays way WAY cooler, and the manifold is a much more efficient design.
ACIS is a nice feature, but dunno if it outweighs the downsides on the whole.
Either way, this cost me about $60 NZD in total to do, as I already had the manifold etc lying around.
Did it for curiositys sake as much as anything else, I guess.
