yes it makes power but no its not a good idea because
1. its expensive
2. you have to refill it constantly
3. its illegal
4. its dangerous

1. its not expensive 40$ has lasted me 8 months you only use a lot if its setup wrong and the money you spend for premium gas is going to be alot more than the 10$a gallon if you buy premix
2. its called maintenance you check the oil the tires the f@cken bug fluid and you can't look to see if you methanol come on
3. its not illegal if so windshield is illegal too its made of the same two chemicals just diff amounts of each
4. its only dangerous if you drink it or get it in your eyes it will not even catch fire with a lighter and if your drinking it or using it for eye drops you should not be driving
5. it not to make power directly it chemically intercools and protects from detonation so you can run more timing or if you just wont to be on the safe side
methanol injection has been around along time from fighter planes to hot rods and now are little ricers so there's got to some thing to it
so in short before you speak you should do a little research and know what it is your talking about
