Definately! That is one of the downsides to using poison on rodents inside a dwelling. I haven't had any problem with them dieing inside the car but one or two have died under stuff in my garage.
As far as the sticky gel traps go, I used to live in another house in an area with a lot of mice. I have two indoor cats but even that didn't discourage some mice from running around in my basement and kitchen. So I put some of the gel traps around. Didn't catch more than one mouse but the cats got stuck in them several times. It is quite a chore to get that sticky gel off of a cat's fur.
