ya the only problem with my current cluster is that it is in mph and the rpm gauge redlines at 6,200 rpm. I dont really mind the white ss-III cluster gauge i just would like to have an accurate reading of the car after i hit 180 km/h. An apexi rsm should do the trick right??

180Km/H = 111.9 MpH = your ass in prison in California no?
Besides that, how "legal" is it to have a Km/H-only speedometer here in the states, or in your case California....I suspect the po-po's all across the land might not like it because you have the ability to say "I don't know how fast I was going ossifer, my gauge reads in European..." or some crap like that.
You could be the really cool guy and get a 300Km/H gauge set from TRD....
I am 99.999999% sure that Toyota's all use a standard speed sensor to send the SPD signal to the speedometer, and it just depends on what domestic market gauges you have for it to read the proper Km/H, Mp/H, Parsecs, Warp speed, Super Mario Brothers Warp-Flute etc
What goes on inside the Speedo, as far as I have noticed, is that there either extra or missing resistors which define one speedo-gauge to read Km/H or Mp/H
As for the RPM, you could go MSD Digital Shift Light, I have the BEAMS cluster 100% working and the MSD unit more or less for shifting notice, eventho I know my engine well enough to know what sound the RPM range makes when it's a great time to shift. It's just a nice warning should I be looking at the road more that listening to what the engine is doing....besides that I have it set to flash about 300-RPM *before* the redline so as to have me shift on time enough.
