It is probably still wet inside the dizzy and wires don't panic.
You can spray it down with something to displace the water. But mostly you just have to wait for everything to dry out. (last time it took mine about 48 hours to dry completely and go back to normal, 24 hours till it would start and run badly.)
Make sure that your spark plugs are not standing in water and that your plug wires match up with the correct cylinders.

Ive done the same thing over the years. =)
