Toyota MR2 Message Board - View Single Post - Stock 85 brakes strong enough for track duty?

I'm building up an '85 MR2 to be used solely as a track toy. My attention has come to the brakes, and I'd like to know from anyone with experience if the stock rotors and calipers can handle an entire day of track duty. This will be with SS lines, good racing pads and fluid of course.

Additionally, I hear that the '87 brake rotors can be swapped in, will these work with the '85 calipers or will I need those as well? Search gave some mixed info
