How soon are you wanting this? I ask because I'm rebuilding an 86 hardtop white car with original paint, a clean title and I know where an auto transmission and computer are so I could go that route when I rebuild the motor and put it back together if you were interested. I'm going to be asking a reasonable price for the car, nothing outrageous, but I'm planning on putting this thing together with A/C, new bushings, shocks, ball joints and tie rod ends if they look old at all, a rebuild on the motor, I've got a set of 15 inch ICW 5 spokes that are vintage old school and would look great on the car that I'm going to clean up for it. It has something in the range of 150k on the chassis I think and honestly the car was raced for a while but I've got almost everything already in hand to put it back to stock street specs. Let me know if this sounds interesting to you. I work on mk1's and have 3 right now and a parts car. My dad also does paint and body work and he could probably touch up the front fender and straighten it out... that's the only accident reported on the carfax and it was super minor and was never repaired it was such a small crease. I can send pictures of the car basicallly as it sits now... I have the interior pulled so I can put the under dash stuff back in. My buddy is a good mechanic as well and might could help me get the car together quicker if you are interested. I've taken a few weeks off to recoupe from some surgery but I'm starting to get back to normal and I'm itching to get back on MR2 work! I've got a nice interior for the car, black with white/black seats, center console, good used black carpet, pretty nice set of manual door panels (manual options car). Think the dash doesn't even have cracks (maybe one if it has any). I've got the A/C and heat unit with climate control for the car too. I've been kinda picky about what stuff I keep for the car as I've been stripping parts cars (6 of them now) and I keep the best stuff for this car. Has good rear window trim and TOYOTA visor as well. Car will look really nice when we finish it up and should be mechanically sound. I'm gonna kick myself for selling it too because I'm determined to have myself a hardtop sometime here! If you'll give me a bit here I'll try to post up some pictures on my website of the car in progress so you and others can keep tabs on the project as it goes.
