You're right about gas mileage... I average between 32 and 28 depending on how hard I drive my 88 N/A 5 speed with only a few minor mods and I run regular gas. I'd guess similar mileage out of a mostly stock 86 with auto transmission! I've got my page finished for the car but am waiting for a password to reset so you can see what I've got and a little bit of what has been done. I don't have many pictures of the work I noticed, but think I have some on my camera... I'm also keeping a word document on what I do as I go along. At least I'm trying to keep track of most of what I do, I keep missing a few things here and there but it is pretty comprehensive so the new owner will know most everything that has been done to the car recently. I thought I'd mention what I was doing since you wanted white and auto cars are a little hard to come by. Since I knew where a transmission was in good shape I thought I could possibly go that route. Also my buddy's girlfriend was interested in it if we went auto so that might be my best bet anyway. She has a nice 535 they're fixing up so she may not even be interested anymore. Plus I know for a fact that auto transmission is shifting good as I know the guy that is daily driving it now! He's pulling it to put the supercharged motor and transmission from this 86 into that 86.
I had an 87 Supra N/A for a few months... it was in rough shape and had high miles but I really liked the car and hope to track down a clean N/A 5 speed car one day when I have the time/money to toy with it. I sold it and bought my 88 Land Cruiser to haul parts in and so I could tow some stuff
