These hopefully are the final parts that i need to get from Toyota.
OK the fuel system. Love how Toyota has put a few cars together essentially using common parts with slight mods to the particular engine.
Lets look at the fuel rail.
Now the body is the same b/w the Red Top and the Black Top but there are diffeances.
Red Top fuel inlet one side, regulator on the other
Black Top fuel inlet and dampener on top roughly in the middle, 2 bolts on both ends, no return.
Black Top missing threads to 2 brackets that hold the fuel hose.
More on this latter.
In the caldina which is essentially a newer 3SGTE gen 4 they adopted a fuel dampener also.
So got me thinking why not put all these parts together and adopt the best features.
OK start with the Black Top fuel rail.
One end put the GEN 3 Turbo fuel regulator.
The other end add a Caldina Fuel Dampener.
Since the Black Top rail has the spare thread on top of the rail , ill add a fuel pressure sender
And lastly tap a couple of threads to the rail where the Red Top rail has them so as to add the brackets to hold the fuel hose.
There you go , fanastic having Toyotas EPC for all their cars .
Ive mixed Red Top , Black Top, Gen 3 Turbo , Caldina Gen 4 AND Altezza. to make one fuel system. All OEM and all thread to each other
Only left to make another nipple to join the fuel pressure sender to the threaded hole on the rail which is neatly tucked under the inlet manifold.
