Make sure this SC manual cutoff switch uses the ground wire of the the SC clutch.
The ECU controls the SC's electrical switch via the SC relay. And you do not want to mess with the ECU's operation of the SC.
I wouldn't recommend turning this DYI switch while the car is running at high speed, throttle on. But only at idle, or when the engine is not running.
Using this switch to squeeze another MPG out of the car is anal retentive. Using this switch as an Anti-Idiot Countermeasure makes perfect sense to me.
