Supposedly the airbox is actually better for power than velocity stacks, provided the airbox is well-designed. I've never seen hard evidence to back that up though. The main issue with velocity stacks is you still need air filters- and 4 of them now, which do a great job of removing any gains you may have had. That is, unless you're crazy and don't care about the survival of your engine, so you run without filters.
