I just did a c60 along with a 20v into my mr2. I just drilled a hole and have someone weld a small piece of 1" aluminum pipe to the end of the transmission. The pipe only needed to be cut to length, inside diameter was perfect for the seal.
I then had someone else drill a hole into the hardened selector shaft. The end seal was capped with a freeze plug and some jb weld to hold it on.
Total cost was less then $50 and didn't require any special tools on my end other then a drill and some sockets.
