exhaust restriction
longer more complicated intake piping
Extra weight
Less motor bay room
More to break
Harder to work on

You can get a turbo that has full boost before 3k RPM you really need more than that?
If you are going for huge numbers and want a massive turbo on there it makes a little more sense but still just seems silly to me 90% of the time.
