Go to the Road race sub-forum and check out my video. You will find me running with an LS2-powered RX-7 on the straight. He's at 2600 lbs and 370 whp. I am at 2250 lbs and 266 whp. He only pulls a car or two down the straights btw.

Just letting you know that your goal is definitely possible.
