I say import a JDM hardtop, strip it out and weld in a rollcage, get some Kirkey Racing seats (the 47 series, designed for road racing) and properly mounted 6 point harness.
Then do a 2zz swap and supercharge it.
Then your wife will have other things besides the seats to complain about.
