It runs and its in great condition... and you are not engine savvy... so if it ain't broke dont fix it (i.e. screw it up).
Get the basics done... change fluids & plugs.. get familiar with bleeding air from the cooling system... then just drive it. The factory stickers on the car will say something like this (I am paraphrasing)
"If you do nothing else then make sure you get the cooling system in this car functioning right because if you screw with the cooling system of this car, be prepared to cause engine damage and pay an assload of money to fix it."
Something like that...
