Quick non-timed update. I was in a crappy mood yesterday for a number of reasons and I didn't keep track of my time. I did get a couple of things finished/started however.

1. Painted a bunch of the interior plastics. The ones seen in this picture will require one more coat.

2. Organized everything that's ready for installation.

3. Made some spacers/brackets for the rear speakers. I'm putting a couple of Kenwood 4" in these spaces and the magnets were hitting a small portion of the outer skin of the car.

Basically I made a template out of carboard and checked the fitment, then cut out these (larger than required) out of a piece of MDF I had laying around (which used to be my college dining room table). To be clear I'm not sure if this stuff is truely MDF, but it's solid as hell and very heavy for it's size unlike the crap that Ikea furniture is made out of.

I then cutout the hole for the speaker, and drilled the holes for the bolts. I recessed the bolt holes because the piece is about 3/4" thick.

I then re-checked for fitment and cut them to size. I'll work at actually installing the speakers at some point later on today.

More to come!
