Engine Lid?

anyone have one of these?

eBay Motors: 196 Engine Cover kit MR2 91-95 SW20 BODY 2Dr (aka Hood) (item 350041367073 end time Apr-05-08 16:15:46 PDT)

do they look cheap in person? how much will it effect cooling? I dont like how my stock vents let in water to my bay, even though the vents on the lid look good, it just worries me.

pictures? thoughts?

i have a stock turbo engine lid but when i got the car it didn't have the plastic cover, so any water or dirt can just come in as they please, i was very seriously conisdering getting this lid as well... i just need my tax return and money from my second job to roll in and the deuce will get it's face lift. beware of that seller on ebay though, there are a few members on this board that dealt with them personally and said they are ignorant and hard to deal with. if you read thier feed backs that are negative, they say the same ****, "call us to fix this problem" and they mostly call all their customers liars. i like to see the feeback people have that report them as negative to see if buyers are just scammers, this one guy had 119 100% feeb back in 2 years, and 1 negative left by this company. i wouldn't buy from them unless you get the product in person and see if it fits first.

I have a carbon fiber one in that style I got used but I think it was originally from importfan.com. It never gave me any problems, even riving in the rain... tho a tiny bit of water would get in through the openings. It's not my daily driver so I never drive it in the rain anymore.

Mine is similar, but a different shape. Mine is a Bomex lid. The one in that link is a phoenix power replica.

Like a few others said. Buy either an authentic one, or buy the ones in th epics above listed by Anthony on the red MR2. The cheap ones are a horrible fit and in the end you'll be unhappy with the purchase.
