Engine Lid?
anyone have one of these?
eBay Motors: 196 Engine Cover kit MR2 91-95 SW20 BODY 2Dr (aka Hood) (item 350041367073 end time Apr-05-08 16:15:46 PDT) do they look cheap in person? how much will it effect cooling? I dont like how my stock vents let in water to my bay, even though the vents on the lid look good, it just worries me. pictures? thoughts? |

I have a carbon fiber one in that style I got used but I think it was originally from importfan.com. It never gave me any problems, even riving in the rain... tho a tiny bit of water would get in through the openings. It's not my daily driver so I never drive it in the rain anymore.

Mine is similar, but a different shape. Mine is a Bomex lid. The one in that link is a phoenix power replica.
Like a few others said. Buy either an authentic one, or buy the ones in th epics above listed by Anthony on the red MR2. The cheap ones are a horrible fit and in the end you'll be unhappy with the purchase. |

I have the bomex lid...it allowed me to put two electric ten inch exhaust fans over the motor to cool the car if I am in traffic...Works great...gotta say I like it...
