I know Toyota made them in Japan. Thats the only place I've seen them. I've heard they dont make them anymore but I can get on the hunt. They clip ti the body of the car instead of relying on the door.

They were produced here but only in limited quantities due to the fact that most MR2's are T-Top, and they don't work with topped cars, only sunroof and hardtop.
I can check them out for you guys if someone can get me a part number |

Not sure about a part number, I'll look around and see if I can dig one up. Maybe someone has the part number laying around.
This will be going on a hardtop, so thats definately not an issue. I was also looking for a pic, but the pic canadam posted in the "rare parts" thread has a broken link, anyone have a pic of how they look? Just curious how sleek/thin they are. I'm surprised there arent any aftermarket options available. |

I couldnt find any part numbers or aftermarket manufacturers that make them for the MR2. Only place i've seen them mentioned is the "rare parts" thread, and the link for the picture is broken.
Not sure if anyone else has the part number, or knows where to get this from. |

Thanks. Those guards are thinner than I expected, but I guess there isnt much of a choice when its attached to the body and not the window frame (cuz there isnt one). Does anyone know how well of a job they do keeping the rain/snow out?
I just like leaving my window slightly open when driving to get some fresh air, specially when its raining to get some of the fog off the windows, the rain dripping in gets annoying so I figured these guards would be my best option. |
