Got a BIG freaking issue.

"On Nevember 2, 2009 at 1421 hours I was operating an unmarked Sherrif's unit, CS50 (audio and video recorded), traveling north on MD Rt 4 at Ball Rd St. Leonard, Calvert County, Maryland. I observed a White 1992 Toyota MR-2, Pa Registration GXP-3469, Approaching me from the rear at a high rate of speed. I checked my vehicle's speed by moving same direction radar at 99 MPH in a posted 55 zone.

I conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver, Michael King, who produced a Md Driver's license. A records check through MVA revealed Mr. King's License was suspended for Graduate License Suspension (points) with 2 FTA's and 1 failure to attend the Driver Improvement Program. Mr.King Could not give a reason for traveling at that speed, but stated His speedometer read 65 MPH. Mr.King Later stated he was going approximately 85 MPH. Mr. King was arrested while suspended, was transported to CCDC and processed."

this is what's on the police report. I HAD two FTA's BUT I PAID ALL OF MY TICKETS LATE AND THEY WERE RESOLVED! I also did the Driver Improvement late because I had to do it online due to being out of state. WHY THE HELL ARE THESE STILL ON MY SHIT SAYING I NEED TO BE ARRESTED?

plus when I was in booking and they never gave me the papers/tickets/citations. so I was being withheld without paperwork. doesn't this mean that I had my rights taken from me in some sort of way?. my job consists of NOTHING BUT DRIVING. I NEED MY LICENSE BACK AND I'M LOOSING MONEY FAST. I could file for an appeal, but apparently it's too late for that. my license was suspended 10/15/09. they took my license the day I got arrested. what can I do?

and here I thought I was being nice and adding revenue to MD, but nooo. they WANT you to come to court and get your ticket knocked down.

You already screwed everything up. At this point all you can do is hire a lawyer or leave the country... not sure which one is the better option. You could also try moving to another state, immediately, and never returning to MD.

Suggestions for not f#cking yourself in the ass:

1) Never admit to ANYTHING. Don't tell him you were or were not speeding. Don't give him an estimated speed. Tell him you don't know. When you change your story 8 times it sounds REALLY bad. If he says something like "I clocked you at 95; why were you going that fast?", do not say anything that admits to speeding or breaking any other law.
2) Say as little as possible, and answer his questions with questions whenever possible. Anything can and WILL be used against you.
3) "I do not consent to an illegal search, but will not resist" Memorize that line. Use it if it looks like the officer is wanting to search your car. Do this whether or not you have anything in it. There are a lot of really crooked cops out there that will plant drugs in your car and "find" them. You're playing a dangerous game by consenting to a search. A search will NEVER help you.
4) "Am I being detained, or am I free to go?" Memorize it, use it when appropriate.
5) If the police try to "ask you a few questions", plead the fifth and ask for your lawyer. Do not say ANYTHING, EVER, NO MATTER WHAT, EVER. Nothing you can possibly say will help you, it can ONLY hurt, and even the most innocuous thing you say can be twisted around in court to make you sound guilty. The only way I would ever talk to them is if they granted me immunity, in writing, to my lawyer.

do you have to be the least deserving person on the road to not deserve a license

like you say he came out of nowhere
what if the person coming out of nowhere was a minivan full of kids broken down in the fast lane

also the average stopping distance from 110mph is around 715ft for a sports car

thats around 47 car lengths can you honestly tell me you were looking 47 car lengths ahead of you.

not to mention you said " my job consists of nothing but driving " if so why would you be an idiot and do 110 mph

my advice wait the 6 months to get you license back then drink a nice big glass of grow the f*** up before you drive again

You definitely talk the talk, but I'd love to see a camera on you when you get pulled over and are actually under the light. It's a little different when there's actually a PERSON asking you these questions and not some hypothetical cloud of law enforcement. I'm willing to bet that you have never once done this to a cop.

I would usually just say "I don't know, how about you tell me what I did wrong"

but the thing is, I KNEW he had me. so lying and acting cocky would get me no where, he had radar evidence that I was doing WELL above 85, but he was being nice. and since he was being nice, I was going to lie.

It's true, when you get pulled over you are nervous as hell and it's hard to say the right things.

As for me in the real world- I don't admit to anything. That's something I did right from square one. I'll just tell them I don't know... that's easy to do even while under stress. I've only had my car searched once, and I had no choice in the matter because I was in the back of the cop car and they did it without permission. I've also never been interrogated by the police, so no real world experience there.

I've been working on not getting in trouble in the first place these past 4 years, so I haven't had any recent experience.

That makes you sound like an ass. Just saying "I don't know", or "I'm not sure" is better. "Why have you pulled me over, Officer?" in a sincere tone (when it isn't totally obvious), works much better and sounds polite and respectful.

You broke the law, you knew you were breaking the law, and you've broken the same law in the past it sounds like.

What makes you so special you don't have to deal with the consequences of your own actions like the rest of us?
