Core on the 2.2 Stroker
Im interested in purchasing one of the 2.2 Strokers and was wondering if the price on the site is before or after you get a refund on your core. I cant send in a core because my block has a hole in it from a rod going threw it. Can i still purchase the engine without sending in a core? and for how much? Sry if this is a dumb question......

The price on the site does not include the core charge. We will sell you an engine without a core return, you just won't get a core refund. The core charge is $500.
Best regards, Ken |

Sorry to reply so late to this, I didn't get a thread notification...
The answer depends on which block you base the stroker on. With the 3S block, everything bolts up without any problems. The only additional part I can think of is that you use a 5S rear main seal, with a 3S rear main seal housing. With the 5S block, there can be interesting issues with the oil cooler, and some of the other accessories, depending on the year/model of the 5S block that is used. |
