Another tune rom question

Ok, so I just purchased a pair of Hks 264 cams/gears and needed a little guidance. I'm going to by the ats td06 kit, so what I want to know is how do I go about getting the cams installed n degreed with a mail order tune rom? does that make sense? let me explain. ok, as of now my car is running like crap cause I have 550's on the stock 2gen ecu "don't worry its being garaged". So I need the tune rom in order for it to be drivable. so what do i do with the cams? do I buy and install the turbo kit with the tune rom, then take it to get the cams installed/degreed, dyno'd, and send the tune rom back with my dyno print out and get it re-tuned or something? Sorry if this is a little confusing, but I don't know how else to put it...

Go ahead and install the cams now. Use the adjustable gears to set the cams to 0. Once you find zero then retard the exhaust 6 degrees. It may not be 6 on the cam gear, it might be 3 it might be 9 or anywhere in between, it all depends on what you had to set them to to get zero (get it?).

Start it up and see if it will idle OK. Even without the rom tune it should idle. You will probably need to loosen the flat tip screw on top of the throttle body to raise the idle some. If it's just too rough then you will need to retard the exhaust cam LESS.

Then buy the TD06 kit with the rom tune and I'll send you what you need.
