SPAL engine lid fan - mounting?

Was looking into a single SPAL fan for the engine lid, but was wondering how it was mounted. Have you had any issues with the rain/water coming directly onto the fan?

How big is the fan? I'm assumming 7.5".

Heres the pic from your site:

That's my car. It's a 10 inch fan and it's mounted with zip ties. I garage my car so it has seen minimal ran, but water is not an issue and no additional water gets on the motor because the factory shroud remains installed.

I was looking for another mounting option other than zipties, mainly because I dont want the other end of the ties to be seen from the outside.

Are the turbo engine lids kind of a 2 piece design, so that way the zip ties cant be seen from the outside? or can you see the zip ties from the top of the engine lid?

Also, I understand with your car rain isnt an issue, but what about a DD that see's rain. I know SPAL's are waterproof, so they should hold up pretty good.
