Pull motor before swap?

I have a quick question, I am really getting to the point of being able to afford getting a swap done and was wondering if it matters whether I ship just the shell, or if you need the motor still installed?

The main point being is that I am going to be pulling some of the interior apart to redo the stereo wiring that was hacked apart before I bought it, and would like to pull my na motor to rebuild it to swap it over into a new project car that I bought.

In that case you can send just the shell.
