Black Plastic window sill strips

Anyone know what those black (what appears to be plastic) strips on the sill of the door windows are actually called?
Mine are terribly faded and its the one eye sore on my sw20 that stands out.

I was hoping of replacing them (if they are removable) or if not go about doing something restoring them.

Suggestions?

They're called belt mouldings. There are part numbers in my vendor forum. Hold on a sec, I'll go dig them up real quick...

Here you go:
Weather Stripping

Those prices will probably be a dollar or two higher as we jut had a pricing update last week. The part numbers should be the same for any MkII, so if you choose to get them locally they ought to be correct for you.

I thought you were describing the belt mouldings, which go at the top edge of the door sheetmetal.

FWIW, I've been using Meguiar's #39 and #40 on these for many, many years and they still look like new on my 91.

I bought new ones b/c the coating was actually wearing of in spots on mine exposing the metal.. and looked horrendous compared to the newer paint. I'll do it right, and keep them protected with Mcguires products. I also bought new quarter windows, and triangle vents.

Black Wow is what I've used on my black trim. It really does make you say "WOW."

Hmm, I replaced mine about a month ago, and I only recall one screw, on the end with your mirror. The other side was just a little brad that popped in.

Unless it's a market-specific part number, they don't vary from country to country. I think your local parts guy misunderstood you badly, because 53294-17020 and 53295-17030 are plastic underbody panels that sit behind the front spoiler. They are shown as 53294B and 53295 in this image:
