Auto-X Tires
Hey you autocrossers out there.
I just started to get into Autox with my N/A FC RX-7. While I was looking for a dd, I found the Mk1 MR2. I was to run that instead, but I'm wondering if Azenis are still the best tire for autox with the MR2 like they are with the FC. Thanks. Ben edit: What would be a good starting point for pressure too? Last edited by SilverFire; 04-23-2007 at 04:04 AM.. Reason: more questions |

I always thought that Toyo RA1's were the best, based on what I read in reviews and such....

I think used Hoosiers or Kumho V710s are the best.
Find someone who road races and buy their used tires for about $100 a set. |

Well, I guess there's no consensus for the 2s like there is for the RX-7. In two years, I never found anyone that didn't say Azenis were the best.
I hadn't thought of that... That would be a great way to get tires... Certainly beats buying new... |

I have found that they last for about a whole autox season on a light car. |

If you don't want to go with slicks or cheater slicks (Hoosiers A6) Then i'd go with some Potenza RE-01r's. That's what i've been using lately and im really loving them.
