My First FTD!!
So, this past winter I was fortunate enough to swap a 98 BEAMS into my USDM 93 NA. A couple weeks ago at our New York Region SCCA event I finally got my first FTD, beating out some national level drivers in evos and sti's. Here are 2 of my runs that day....not sure if either one was my ftd run. Can't wait to install the quick ratio steering pinion I just got. Should make me quicker on the transitions and slaloms.

late, but congrats. that's awesome.
not very often I see course lenghts that match ours here in central TX. what's your location? seems like most folks only get courses in the 30 second range for FTD. I don't know that I'll ever see an FTD here regardless of what I'm driving ............ we have regulars that are top 5 nationally in GS, ES, AS, SS, STU, STS, and probably some I'm forgetting.

FTD - fastest time of the day (overall winner in raw time)
I'm in New York and these runs were in the parking lot of Nassau Coliseum. We usually have courses between 45 and 60 seconds plus we happen to have some really good course designers who don't let the high horsepower guys have all the fun. I would say the best driver there that day, couldn't lay down a clean run and would have beaten me by almost 1 second had he been clean....but the cones count. He drives a BSP Evo and lately has been beating Marc Daddio and most other SM cars. I'm sure you've heard of Marc Daddio. We definitely have our share of top level national drivers in NY region, but most of them either didn't show up or were driving other people's cars that day. Believe me, I got a nice reality check when I went to the National Tour at Devens a few weeks ago. SM2 is gonna be tough...especially when I'm going up against porsche GT3's with struts that cost as much as my whole car. |

I guess the only good thing about running against these GT3's is that I know who they are. Below are some raw results from last year from a porsche club when I still had my 5sfe(100hp?) and stock suspension. While I might have a supercharger in my future, its does give me some hope that I can sort of keep up with the GT3's regionally. Stephanie went on to win a national championship in FP ladies in that car and Radomin placed 2nd in F Prepared at the nationals.
