Cool, I need to pick some of these up. I don't like using shoe polish.
Their pricing is very good.

Has anyone ever used magnetic numbers at an HPDE? I've heard that they can get peeled off by wind at higher speeds.

I would pay the extra 20 bones or so to get some vinyl stickers for a track event requiring numbers.
my .02 magnets fall off now and then at autox speeds as does static cling vinyl. my vinyl guy does run static cling vinyl on real tracks (and highway driving to them occasionally when he forgets to take them off) and said they don't come off when applied right ........... btw ..... my magnets still haven't arrived - was hoping they'd be here a few days ago for sunday's autox and I didn't get a reply to my email asking when they'd be shipped (emailed last week) so email response is not good and shipping is slow (got an email from paypal today saying they shipped today). maybe they were on vacation or something? if they get here and are high quality all is forgiven. ![]() |

got em'.
They aren't perfect, some not so clean cuts in places, but they look good and are fine for the price. |

Here's a good trick I just picked up on the NASA forums for those that want to use magnets at HPDE's and other higher speed events. If you put the number close behind the door the turbulence from the crack will apparently keep the magnet from getting blown off.
Something else that was suggested there was putting a strip of tape along the leading edge to keep it from getting lifted. |
