I've been keeping track of this car for a while now...too bad I can't afford one. I think they are only selling about 2,000 units to US customers, so MSRP is out of the questions as people will end up paying way over sticker.

yea for the first month or 2, but if you play your cards right and wait a little the price always comes down. but the impatient people with money always pay up the ass when it comes to newer expensive limited edition cars.

Even when the price comes back down to MSRP...still more then I can shell out for a car at this point in my life. Unfortunately the kids college fund has to come first, along with the mortgage, utilities, etc...
That will have to be my mid-lift crisis car once the kids leave the house and support themselves. Oh well, at least 10 more years to go. ![]() |

Nissan keeps blowing away the competition with their Skyline, although I'm still waiting to see what Acura/Honda does with the NSX as rumors have it it's a Front Engine RWD V10... Also want to see what's going to happen with the Toyota LF-A. |

FR cars are teh gay unless you're going for cheaper obtainable cars. If you're producing a 60-70k + car, make it MR. Hell, even the Corvette is rumored to be going mid mounted in 2010 or 2011 which hopefully will make the corvette worth payin for.
FR should be left to the 30-40k vehicles, and not the 60-70+ cars. If anything over 100k has a FR setup it better be something absolutely fan-****in tastic |

Yeah it looks nice, and yeah it has power, but it's 1800lbs overweight. I prefer my cars weigh about 2500lbs LESS than that thing.

I read about the C7, but I doubt GM will ever go midship if they want to keep their faithful customers. As it is they lost some respect with the fixed headlights, although I like it better that way. They are bringing back the ZR1 with this currect C6, which should be over 600 HP.
The NSX should stay midship mount, but Honda has a different agenda. ![]() |

Raptor, why you have a MK2 then? :-p. Mine is the lightest they get and it sits at about 2500lbs. Loaded turbos can be like 3k...ouch!
Wagonis, they changed to fixed headlights because flip-up headlights are no longer legal to be made on production cars after a certain year (not sure exact yr, 2000-sumthin) in the US. I don't think they'd lose their loyal customers as long as they kept the look similar, and delivered better performance. Trust me, when Mr. too righ 60yr old that buys every vette's gen gets in and drives a mid-mounted 600hp beast, he'll fall in love, no worries .They always have their F-bodies for FR though, and the new Camaro is siiiiiick, hopefully it performs good and comes in at ~3500 fully loaded V8 and not like 4,200, lol. |

that's why i want to buy a 1980lb lotus in a year or 2 if i can find one for a decent price. imagine weight reduction on a lotus down to 1900 or even 1800lbs!??! and with 190 or 192bhp from the factory, that thing must fly! i believe it was 13.9 quartmile time, and 0-60 is 5.6 seconds. or the new 2008 elise SC, 217 hp supercharged 1.8 litter 6-speed that's only 1987 lbs, and gets 31 mpg!

Yeah... it's true, sorta. ![]() I've actually been checking ebay every week for the past couple months looking for an Austin-Healey Sprite that's super cheap and I can use for a project car. 1200lbs ftw! |
