beams questions

hey, well basically got my car about 2 years ago and since i found out about the beams red top iv wanted to swap into my 94 mr2 N/A just wondering what exactly im going to need how much its going to cost me and what some of the sticky parts are going to be any help would be appreciated thanks

It's going to depend on how complete your swap is, but if you're getting a celica redtop, you'll want to get a gen3+ mr2 wateroutlet housing, a gen2 fuel line (which has to be modified a little bit), a 98 or so 1mzfe maf and aftermarket intake tube ($30 on ebay).

All of your mounts can be transferred from your 5sfe. You'll also want to reuse your 5sfe crank pulley (or get a 3sgte pulley). You'll want to use the 5s alternator, A/C, and brackets.

Wiring is the biggest problem. I make a custom pnp harness based off your old 5s harness and your cut or uncut beams harness.

how much does the wiring cost and how much do you think the beams engine would run iv looked around on the net but the lowest one i found was for bout 1340 but the tranny was fw how much do you suppose would match up and how much wouldnt im getting myself lost on this stuff

I do the harness for $350+$30 return shipping.

You can convert the FWD transmissions for use in the mr2. It involves drilling a hole for the selector shaft as seen here:

Not an s54, but the same basic proceedure.
