To all,

I will be spending the next 3 weeks updating the website. Im basically starting from scratch again while i try to make improvements to the site, and the information in the site.

The biggest reason I am doing this is to prepare the site for the mass amount of information that will be uploaded to it in 2 weeks when i get my redtop manuals. Its pretty messy behind the scenes on the site, so thats going to be cleaned up.

There are some things I need from you all, and i would really like your opinions.

First off, I need a header and new navigation buttons. I want this site to look as professional as possible. I like the format of it right now, with the header and buttons at the top of the page. I like the header and buttons seperated also, because i believe we will be adding new things throughout the next year and that will make life easier to add it. I would really appreciate it if one of you could come up with a very nice header, about the same size as the one on the site right now. Hell, come up with more than one, and ill stick it in a poll here on the site and let everyone decide.

Something new that I want to do is add a page on the site for the blacktop guys. Although we don't have many blacktop owners popping by, i think it would make a great addition to our site. So to that area, i would like to add....

BlackTop Engine Manual
BlackTop Wiring Diagram
BlackTop ECU Pinout
BlackTop Parts number page

With what puretone has come up with, we have all this stuff at our disposal. Might as well put it together and throw it up there. All of this will be in PDF format for easy viewing/page load time and accessible for download so you can take it with you wherever you go.

The Redtop information is coming along. I expect to have all wiring information in english by the first of the year. With this, i will add the following pages in PDF format

RedTop Engine Manual (in japanese till we can get it translated)
RedTop Wiring Diagram
RedTop ECU Pinout Guide
RedTop Parts number page

A lot of work will be done to clean everything up. I have time to do this over the next few weeks which is why im taking on this project.

If you guys have any opinions, articles, write-ups, or anything else you want to add, please let me know here. Your opinion counts, this is a community, not a business or anything. This is owned by all of us.

I really need someone to get a header done though, thats a priority. Im going to use the old one till i can get something from someone that looks better with mine. Please keep the stuff themed though to the beams redtop, and the buttons, no matter what they look like, atleast be red or a matching color. I don't want a green website for the redtop engine.

Also, next year I will be setting a donations goal to help cover the cost of the website. Any money collected after that will be used to cover translation costs of the redtop manual. The more you donate, the faster the engine manual will be done.

Please reply to this with some constructive critisizm or ideas. I really want your input. And i definately need to see some support from the regulars here on the beams forum with the ideas and stuff (cough...banner/header).

Its been awhile since I last worked on a header for you cant remember now what you said you would like to see but Ill post this here and get people to comment on my version so far!

I can do pretty much anything graphic/web design related my latest creation can be found here <----Shameless plug

Can you send me that in a high Resolution pic without the link buttons on it? And let me know what font you use for those link buttons?

WFX...make more! lets get a poll going next week with 3 or 4 different ideas and lets let everyone decide which one they like.

Okay, the redtop book should be at toyota any day now............

My home computer just crashed, luckily, i backed up my black top information on the web so thats not a loss but everything else is gone, including the Beams website information

No worries though, im confident in a complete recovery of my information......cause if it doesn't work, im screwed.

Once the book is in my hands this week, I will go over to my friends house and scan that stuff in, and get the wiring diagram up on the website.

Bought a new computer, so im good on getting on the web at home now.

It's been 2 weeks and 4 days, no phone call. Im going to head down there tomorrow if I haven't heard anything from them.
