Beams swap runs

If only for a few seconds at a time, it runs. It kinda acts like I have the wrong afm, but whatever, the main thing is that it is showing signs of life.

What was the problem? Insufficient ecu ground. Tightened a bolt, and everything popped up.

So hang on a sec you needed to ground the ECU for the car to start? Or ground the ECU to get other things working? Is grounding the ECU a pretty important thing I gather?

As I havnt really got my grounded at all to be honest well the ground wires are but the ECU itself no. Mine started up all fine with no problems so havnt really looked into grounding it properly do you think it would make a difference?

The ecu doesn't ground through its case to the chasis. It grounds through pins e1, eo1, and eo2. These wires end up at one of the loops down by the alternator. My loop was simply not bolted on tightly enough.

Haha, I had the same friggen problem with mine, when trying to get it running.

The grounding issue was a stupid mistake on my part. I've done too many harnesses not to know what needs to be done here. Troubleshooting for an hour every saturday also didn't help with a speedy resolution either.

LOL, now thats a real DOH!

if the ecu isnt grounded then the B+ & ground dont close the loop....
