Beams: Finalizing some information

I am trying to finalize and put all the info i collect onto the website. I have some things for you guys to help me with, just information wise. If you could answer my questions, it would help me out a lot.

1.) Does the Beams Redtop have the same bottom end as the Beams BlackTop? Basically I am wanting to know if the pistons and rods from a Blacktop fit in the redtop? What about the oil pan from a blacktop, will that fit on a redtop too?

2.) Injectors - What aftermarket upgraded injectors will fit on a RedTop? Doesn't even have to be aftermarket, just a bigger size maybe from another engine would work too.

3.) Headgasket - Aside from the stock headgasket, is there any manufacturers out there that makes an aftermarket head gasket for the Redtop? Will a Beams BlackTop headgasket work on a redtop?

And for the big question:

I have seen this come up a lot, but i have seen different answers all over the forum, time to lay it to rest.

4.) Will any other engines Exhaust manifold fit on the Redtop?

I'm no expert, but aside from some porting size differences and valve size differences isn't the GE head the same on every motor? Meaning the studs, etc are in the same place?

not sure with the beams head. I know there are some extra holes and what not because oil is pumped to the cams for the vvt-i mechanism. Not sure how its different. I really need to get a 3sge head and compare the 2. I might also order a 3rd gen 3s-ge, 5sfe, and 1st get 3sge exhaust manifold gasket and compare them all.

The block is different, as are the rods and pistons. Cranks are the same, as far as I am aware. Things that bolt onto the block like the oil pump are different too, but can all be swapped over.
The RWD block has no hole for the FWD dipstick.
No reason why you cant run altezza pistons/rods, or even a whole altezza bottom end with FWD parts stuck on though. You'll need to use a FWD head gasket though if you want to use the FWD water outlets.

The sumps are a direct swap.

550cc (IIRC) 7MGTE injectors are probably the best option. Cheap, readily available, good size.

Using a blacktop headgasket changes where the water outlets come to/from. If you use a RWD head gasket, your water outlet will be coming from where the celica alternator bracket bolts on. I cant see any point in going to an aftermarket head gasket to be honest. Factory multi layer steel gasket = win.

Altezza exhaust will, if converting to RWD. previous gen 3SGE exhaust manifolds will NOT fit.

Okay, just to clarify cause im really hungover right now and im about to drop some serious cash without telling the wife and i want to make sure i can get these items and they will have no problem with valve clearance and whatnot.

True or false...

I can purchase aftermarket Beams Blacktop rods and pistons, install them into a redtop block, and have no issues with running them?

(and when i say really hungover, i mean im still bombed and i stopped drinking 7 hours ago)

He'd be looking at buying Pistons designed for turbo charging a blacktop altezza engine, and putting them in the redtop.

Theres a BEAMS Red Top over this way bolted into a AE86 setup for RWD with (I think) Black Top bits bolted on to the Red Top motor! So anything possible I guess... Celica_RA45 is the man for this question!
