Thanks guys! It pops all the time regardless of what your doing the only time it doesnt pop is when your accerlating and at idle. When you shift to the idle position as you approach to stop there is one final pop and then all quiet again. Ive got a car show this weekend where it will be dynoed again so see how things turn out on that dyno.
Ive got a 3" system for track work and for future internal work later this year where I will be spitting out more power but at the moment Im running my 2.5" system. Theres not as much popping with the 3" system and tips (the video) as there is with my 2.5" system straight out with no tips. Just noticed last night is all that with 2.5" straight out it happens quite regualrly. Ill check for when it does it in the rev range too. |

TPS
wayne try to reset the tps sensor .sounds like it might be out a little bit you dont need it running ,just have ign on fire up laptop open your engine file ,go to sensors and reset idle and then using up and down keys move it to open throttle hold foot flat to floor and hit enter key ,that should fix the pop off noise ,also might sucking in air somewhere as well

Aaaah! I found the 2ZZGE tech document that I was referring to. I dont doubt that what you're saying is true, but it would also double as a noise insulator on the redtop as well I guess.... If you're wanting some rowdy induction noise (and dont mind the risk of having your intake manifold shear itself off ) then making that spacer 'solid' would probably do the trick.Attached it to this post.
