TRD VVT-i page

Not sure whether this hasd been identified before, just found it but not totally sure what I'm looking at yet. Talks about 3SGE VVT-i performance parts but not sure whether it's all for the black top.

ENGINE -3S-GE-

...might be of some interest?

Looks like the black top only.

3S-GE engine parts are for Altezza (SXE10) M/T cars only. Cannot be used in 3S-GE engines of other cars.

...hmm, that's what I suspected looking at the dyno charts. I couldn't remember whether the Altezza had a red top option or not or whether it was just the black top (didn't recognise any of the Altezza codes).

I guess the ITB set-up will be different as well.

....maybe just ignore it then -unless anyone manages to squeeze a black-top in I guess.

Some of it will fit, some of it wont, the non vvti cams might fit just fine in the redtop head, but cant say without seeing them. Parts for the bottom end should fit fine.

The heads are almost the same between the blacktop and redtop, but the blacktop has further machining in a couple area's to do with the cams.

the throttle body kit will work, Its basically an adapter plate, and some of the parts they list there are really just throttle bodies from a 20v 4a-ge. It's a copy of that exact adapter plate i have that i talked to you about before.

Quad throttles will fit on, As will exhaust manifold (faces wrong way for a FWD/MR2 setup though)

Pistons/rods will fit, the cams wont though.
