C-ONE FLYWHEEL

Gents (/ Ladies),

Have settled on a C-One l/w flywheel but there's 2 types on Nengun. A "normal" one at 4.7kg and a "type R" one at 4.4kg or thereabouts.

....Anyone know if there's a difference apart from cash and 300g? Both listed against SW20 3SGE VVT-i.

Need to check first as bit nervous about Nengun, they don't have a contact number and they won't take a return. Have tried a web search but doesn't come up with any more info.

BTW -they appear to have oil catch tanks on there for about £30 -which is what one is actually worth IMO rather than nearer £100 for other ones available in the UK.

Hoping to place an order for both this weekend so any swift pointers greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

thats the flywheel i have, i went for the lighter one, the only difference is the holes machined round the outer edge to reduce weight. I got it through nengun, found there system to be very good, but! it can take a long time for the whole thing to go through, I think my orders with them sometimes take a month or so.

Fortunatly i've had no issue with them so have never needed to communicate with them so cant comment on that side of things.

I wouldnt be worried about it being too light, if thats what you mean?

My 'lightweight' flywheel for RWD beams is still 7kgs. doh.

I had a cusco light flywheel in my beams MR2, was light as, and was great. Not a problem when the car is quite light I guess.

I doubt that you'd notice much difference between the two weights though to be honest.

I ordered the lighter of the 2 today -figured if I'm getting one, for a few quid more it might as well be the lighter one. I was just wondering if that was the only difference, nengun didn't have any more info. and was just being cautious.

Thanks guys,

Richard
