Thanks ,thats what l thought.
Lightened flywheel makes idle a bit more jumpy. Sometimes stalls . Need to make it idle at 950 rpm. Cool |

It's self adjusting, should idle properly regardless of flywheel or not.
You got the speedo signal hooked up to the ECU? |

I assume but then again ?
What pin code and number is it and color ? Mind you i have the Beams engine and body loom. I can see it tries to adjust but if it dips to 500 it struggles unless i accelerate a bit. If i dle at 950 set it can sometimes dip to 650 but recoverees. Could it be that the light wheel lacks the inertia |

Also on the inlet manifold closer to the throttle body underneith there is another entry for a hose which is no bigger than 1 eigth of an inch in diameter and inch long . Manual says to put a rubber stopper there ? Anyone have this hooked up differently ?

Ok hope this doesnt sound like witchcraft.
Just changed my engine oil, used the same one Toyota 10/30 w VVTi and gear box oil but using Red Line 75/90 NS and guess what no idle issue at all. No stalling and rock steady idle @ 850 rpm. Now i didnjt touch anything, Can anyone explain ? |

Well how long have you been running the motor for? Perhaps the idle was still 'finding its feet' so to speak, finding the right point to get a steady idle.

The engine had done 1,000 kms.
All the time idle was a bit bouncy with sometime stalling. But as soon as l changed the oil , presto , no bouncy idle and no stalling at all. Weird. But Roman l do agree with you , logical answer , just weird coincident to happen just after l changed the oils. |

Explained ! No witch craft involved the clamp on the hose coming from the inlet manifold to the brake booster was not on . Must have been a very slight vacuum leak even though the hose is on very tight.
