Ive been designing resins for 25 years. With all the customer complaints that have occured over the time the one single consistancy has been poor preparation.
If you first sand blast to break up the surface so as the coating has a greater surface area to grab your on your way to less chiping.
Then any quality pwder coater will totally wash the part to remove grease etc,
Then ask what product they use. Akzo Nobel and Dulux are first rate
Preparation !

personal choice..... prefer the polished look . of machined Alloy. enginerring style on race cars . but my show car has both painted a polished.

Ive seen many good cars with a LOT of bling. Its a very good look but since i dont want to attract attention ala cops thats why ive gone for the factory look.

Made a few more brackets to hold the ECU , ill post pictures on how i did it.
Mainly doing it as a how to do it for others to learn.

Well the engine has started to be built and ive started to dissasemble my car. Bumpers , engine lid and boot lid and under trays are coming off.
Next step is to drop the fuel tank and add the Walbro. Once done i want to run her and make sure everything is ok. Once established it off to the auto electrician to discharge my air con. Then a bit more fabricating to mount my Bosch water pump up front near the air con expander and run copper pipes from the front to the back for my A/W intercooler set up.
Instead of running wires from the MoTec im going to add a relay and fuse in the frunk fuse box in the Spot light seats as i dont have any spot lights . That way i can use the factory wiring as the loom already goes to the front left and right locations.

So yes its finally happening but it will still be a while

Ceramic coated top with treatment on the skirts.Scalloped out to lower the compression to 9.5 : 1 with a diameter 86.5
Notice the little groove under the 1st ring land. There to aid less knocking.
Also the modified squish area can be seen to the trained eye.There is a little more meat all around and under the 3rd ringland.

hi ange when you started this thread you said you didnt wont to spend a lot of money .looking at your build i can see this going to be aleast 30,000 grand by the time it is all finished and up and running in your car ,thats not including the brand new motor that you bought either i just included the motec ,bennicas involvement the rotec super charger new injectors etc new rods and pistons it all adds up ,im just going by what you said on the 1st page of this thread .heres hoping it makes a lot of power and torque

on my race motors ,i have spent a fortune on research and development so you wont me to tell you what cams im using how to do the cam controllers
sorry as it has taken me ages to do these things on all of these motors i will be keeping this to my self
it would be like you asking ferrari what cams they have in there f1 motor and of course they will tell you because you are Italian
at the end of the day you do your thing and i will do mine as i get enough people asking me things by pm

so are you getting a forged crank as well .big bucks even i cant aford that and whos doing the tune you would be using joe from beniccas wouldnt you ,or are just using daniel from meridian to tune it ,
at the end of the day i hope it makes 250 kws at the back wheels or more .im just hope your happy with what you get
mate of mine and he is italian charlie bianco started with a 1600 aw11 then went up to a 20 v and then he turboed it
.then sold that to put a beams in then sold that and put a gen 3 3sgte in charlie never seemed to be happy how much power he had
but he worked on a tight budget so he doidnt have to spend much to get engines and what not done
