New Exhaust

I just got my exhaust custom made about 3 days ago and thought i would share the results with you guys.

I now have tuned length 4 into 1 mandral bent headers. From there it goes 2.5inch all the way into a magnaflow muffler. The whole system was done in stainless

I have to say that i honestly didnt think it would make much of a difference as i already had a cat back system on her... But my GOD! does it go now. Its probably picked up 15hp on what it had befor. Part of that was because the cat had sh@t itself and filled my muffler up with its contents
i also havent notice a drop in low down torque you normally get going from 4-2-1 to a 4-1 system.. must be that the old one was holding me back more than a factory one.

The system now also sounds like the car looks.
It like a deep throaty mechanical sound. Similar to a motorcycle.

I would like to know if anyone else is running 4 into 1 headers, the PP are 4-2-1 and it seems like a lot of money to me for a system designed to give more low down torque, and experience similar gains. Im also getting around 70km more per tank of fuel.

Loved to hear what other people think of their new exhausts??

I think its the best money ive spent on the car so far.

I decided not to use a resonator and opt'd for a larger muffler.

Yeah the car has about 38000km on it. The reason it went was just cause it was sh#t quality. Cat and old muffler were about 9years old and made of mild steel. Muffler was rusting out and had air leaks... so i found out

well done! i'm impressed.....

equal length?
what quality is that stainless? SS304/306/316?
how thick is the piping you used @ the flange?
the collector is ALWAYS a pain to cut/weld nice, for future reference, they can come prefabbed from Vibrant or FullRace, saves MANY headaches....

exhausts

i have spent a lot of time on exhausts re extractors or headers and have found the best power came from a 4 into 2 into 1 system even up to 9000 rpm they still beat the 4 into 1 hands down and im talking about a proper merge of 4 into 1 and also a tight merge with a expansion chamber as well .done them all and i still go back to my set up of 50 dia mm primarys 800mm long 300 mm secondarys 55mm dia out to 60mm finals then up to 75mm to out the back of the car

sorry i dont know the grade stainless used but its 1.76mm thick the whole way. As for the collector, tried several brands and all were not up to scratch...

my mechanic said he would have gone for something like that to improved the torque of the motor.. i told him that the motor spends its life above 5000rpm. he question that and told what i have will give me top-end only!! when you say hands down gain... how much are you talking about... 1 or 20 hp..??
