I dont think anyone has but I'll admit I have been throwing around the idea. Nothing extreme at most a 75 shot.

I would start with a low shot like 35 or 50 and personally try it out on a dyno with a tuner around checking the AFR constantly.

Beams + nitrous would be an awesome combo wide powerband plus closer to 250whp humm that sounds amazing

Like phoenix said, start with a small shot at a dyno place so they can check if its safe otherwise your going to blow your motor

Just cause someone else got away with a 125 shot... doesn't mean your motor will. While a wet shot is 'safer' for the motor when setup right, it actually shouldn't need ANY 'AFM' (assuming you mean air flow meter/MAF) mods if you have the right jets selected. 1 or 2 stage colder plugs is a good idea, if you do a lot of daily driving keep an eye on them and make sure your not fouling them during normal driving. Start with a 50 shot, believe me a gain of 25% more hp instantaneously is a big difference. Move up to a 75 or 100 if it's not enough. (100 would be the 'max' I'd recommend for an unmodified motor, 125-150 is really pushing it too hard IMO). I'm talking about experience I've had dealing with NO2 in the 'drag race' scene and honda's. A friend of mine whose car we installed a wet 100 shot on his h22 (2.2) ran awesome, no problems. Another guy we know put a 125-150, instantaneous death happened to his motor. Andrew |

Heh yeah it's something I've halfway thought about.
Isnt the main problem is that ideally you need to change the amount of ignition advance to accomodate it? Although either way, since I'm going with quads it would be pretty tricky to setup right regardless. |

I think you will be fine, the general rule of thumb is to never use more than half of your HP in nitrous.

Yeah, wet is the safest and direct port is the most efficient. You "should" be fine with a 50 shot.

The only difference in doing it with quads would be having to plumb 4 individual 'direct shot' nitrous/fuel jet's to match each runner. T3, when they were sponsoring 'Al' had that setup on the silvertop motor in the 'orange coupe'. Andrew |

just think what a 100+ shot of nitrous would do to engine parts because it's such a sudden kick in the pants....25 or 50 should be a fun push every now and again...some NGK V Power R5671A-8 plugs would be nice....
