Old paper catalogue here, no BEAMS specific anything, it's the American engines one. Pretty sure we would be safe with the 3SGTE ones no? Celica RA45 should weigh in on this, if anyone knows it would be him. Check to see if they are the same, then you have the numbers, actually they have them online too no?

Just rang ARP they have the full set for the turbo = beams but the head studs are 10mm so they have a 12 mm nut. Whats the go about them not fitting ?
They dont have 11 mm socket or ever haave, So if there is a number for the arp it would be greatly appreciated |

What do you mean by the 12mm nut? I am not sure what you are referring to. We have 11mm socket on our engine? Toyota uses 11mm on anything?? |

EPC SAYS IS IT DONE YET?! ![]() I get it now, totally forgot about that, yes they use stud & nut. Make sure you can fit the 12mm nut down in there, sometimes clearance issue because of the casting/machining. You know, I don't wanna confuse things here, you might be right about the HEAD (not heat) being allen-keyed....I know for a fact Honda's are, keep taking one apart, I should know by now. The APR ones we use now are also allen-keyed. CHECK THE LENGTHS!!1! edit: why do I stress the length? The studs are not threaded all along the length |

Crank is in
looks like there was 3 in Australia.Block is being made with an estimated time for japan to recieve approx 21/4 so it looks like it wont be here until end of May. Should get my bolts here by Monday . Will measure them up and get the measurements off to ARP. |

i thought you said short block with crank ,rods and pistons plus block all ready assembled as you cant just buy a bare block
also ARP changed there nuts from 11 to 12 on the turbo 3sgte so wont fit the beams on the head but the mains will fit but you will have to machine alloy sump .well i had to to get my sump .machined to bolt up |

Rang ARP and they said there has never been any 11 bolts with those studs. Given the stud is 10mm a 11 mm nut is not feasible. So i have no idea what your talking about , am confused ?

So THE nut does clear its only the socket wrench that doesnt ?
If that be the case i know that the very good socket sets have versions with thinner walls |

Pretty sure it is a matter of creating clearance for the tool. I do not think there is enough even for those SnapOn thin wall sockets....I would stick with trying to machine a tiny little bit....

Should have a look at the spare engine while i have it , but whats to machine / clear as Glenn mentioned sump ? Is the head or the bolts that hold the crankshaft ? im confused.
