I think the belt indeed is the same as the Rev3 3SGE, have one at home that I ordered by selecting the European MR2 with 3SGE (non-BEAMS) and it turned out to be the same number.......don't quote me on that right now, I don't have the belt in front of me to tell you 100%

Pump # coming up....

Tensioner will have to be recliped with grenade clip.
If your engine is in a MR2 good luck
Your going to have to have a couple of jacks, undo engine mounts and wiggle the body and engine to the riight angle just to take the cover off !
If you never replaced any of those items before you installed the clip be prepared for maybe a few wont let go bolts.
TAKE TO A TOYOTA DEALER give them the **** load of money they want at least you will be confident all the timing is still correct.
As far as the WP the same not sure until i checkmy EPC but the correct number is in the Sticky RED TOP PARTS. Do the cam belt

Water Pump is the same for gen3 3SGE. But timing belt is not! Only VVTi BEAMS belt work for BEAMS. That includes Blacktop Altezza RS200 belt.

Really? I'll check on sunday/monday what part number mine is. I managed to order mine by selecting a 3SGE non-BEAMS at the Toyota dealer and the proper belt came. It was a Euro 3SGE if I remember correctly....

Remember they sold the RS200 in Europe so that may have been the Euro 3SGE.

They did? Or just in the UK?

I remember tricking the system by going 1990's MR2 with 3SGE or Celica with 3SGE....neither of which I am aware of were the BEAMS edition(s), when the cam-belt arrived I looked it up, compared it with the OEM piece I already had and proved to be same with, teeth & pitch though my original piece was slightly stretched from wear, they were similar is length.

I will have a close look at it in a couple days when I fly back home and spend some time with my RedTop, yeay!

Yes! And if you are using a gen3 belt, previous generation belts are off by 1 tooth which means the fit but do not work 100% properly.

Again guys, I will double check this as soon as I get there. It would seem as a HUGE coincidence that they gave me a BEAMS belt instead of Gen3 belt, especially when I come up with a BEAMS engine they never knew existed LOL.
I'll try and count teeth hahahaha

The belt I ordered using the non-BEAMS 3SGE engine they use in Europe/Holland is part number:
13568-79105

And that's the BEAMS number, what the heck is going on here??? Did they just replace all the numbers with one universal/common one?

HA! When I look in the EPC & on toyodiy it comes up with this number for the SS3 Celica, is there a difference with the MR2 one?

I think the only prob with toyoDIY is that is quotes all the versions of a part.
Have a better look and you will see 13568-80015
I think people still have to ask for the right number that is a beams from ones that have an EPC or the correct number
