Nice pics just a couple of things Have you already done the internals ? What did you do ?
Its going in a MR2 ? You dont need the PS unit
The tensioner pulley for the Alternator is wrong Ir doesnt have the ribs . The set up is smooth pulley so as to push the belt so as to get more wrap around the crank pulley and alternator pulley.
Ild leave the extenal waste gate as insurance.
Also i see you havent taped your sump for the oil return, best to do it with the sump off or else you run the risk of aluminium bits in your engine.
Well done.
Hey those seats are similar to my BMW M3 seats

no not done the internals yet...going in a Celica, the Alternator pulley is standard and came with the motor...the new ally one is the same...too late the external waste gate fitting is gone...will be taping the sump soon...poss get a 3sgte sump and save taping it..the seats are from a gen7 Celica

The aluminium one is wrong then You need to push the belt in with the tensioner pulley NOT pull because you will be decreasing the wrap around the crank and alternator pulleys.
Nice seats.
The sump is around $220 Aussie , ild also get the std fillting that the turbo has.
Sump 12101-88480
gasket 15472-88480 for pipe
pipe 15474-88480
nuts 2 90179-80153
studs 2 92122-60822

Oh OK ........ Its just weird why they would be pulling the belt open ? In effect decreasing the wrap around the crank and alternator pulleys , whether you have AC or not

BTW if you got a chance can your ask them if they have ever made a crank pulley with different number of vee's but with the rubber insert.
I can get one made out of aluminium or steel but ill stay stock unless the rubber insert isnt there

Yeh cool if you could asj them.

See from the pic how the belt is being pulley away from both pulleys ? Ild question that , but maybe because its just the alternator they arent too concerned

Surely, pulling or pushing the alternator belt is gonna amount to SFA difference?

pushing would have more contact area with both pulleys but as it's only the alternator then not a lot of advantage IMHO

True thats what im thinking why fensport did it that way. But make sure the smallest belt should be used or you will loose even more contact area

so very happy with the condition....looks mint on the bores and big ends
heres the head with the cams off

looking at the valves..also in good nick..dark ones with oil off my cloth

looking into the bores..very good bores..bit of carbon on the pistons..rich running..pisser is the forged pistons I have are 0.5mm oversize so I have to rebore now..thought they were same size..bollocks

the crank and shells are mint..as are the rods..the rods look great and i think i may just keep them

anyway re-build on the way so more piccies coming soon...well impressed with the engine so well made
